[S]COTT He whisper. In a flash, the tip of Scott's long wand was lit. He kept walking, not really looking for anything, just walking. He looked at the portriates. They were so much more creepy then the ones up on the higher floors. They were snoring... fairly loud actualy. It didn't bother him though. He was used to it from his dad. He smiled just thinking about it.[/ul]

It was dark, and Eleanor didn't mind. She had woken up from a sleep, mostly because she had been sleeping for a great deal of the time since she came over from Beauxbaton. The time difference created a great deal of lag, which made her incredibly tired ...only now she was awake from all the sleep. Her brown hair was pulled back into a neat bun, and basically tidy except for a few strands which fell across her face.
All she did was follow the stairs, down ...down ...down ...her slippers creating a shuffling noise every once and a while when she forgot to lift them up. But mostly, she was walking quietly, and then she got down to the dungeons. "Hmm ...it's a bit dark." Eleanor said to herself with her French accent. Pulling out her wand from her plaid pajama pants, she cast lumos and walked on.
After a moment of looking at the portraits and walking, she saw a light ahead. For a moment, a flash of fear went throughout her body. If it was a professor they would surely give her detention or something of the sort. Weren't students supposed to be in bed by this time? Biting her lower lip slightly, she looked around and continued down the hall. And as she got closer, she could get a better look of the person. To her delight, it didn't seem like a professor at all. Giving a small sigh, she continued and found herself near the boy.
"'Ello." Eleanor said, trying not to startle the boy from her sudden appearance.

Scott continued down the hallway, snining his wand around the stone walls, floor, and ceiling. It almsot felt like he wasn't going anywhere; it all looked the same. Scott stopped. He say light from the back of his eye and stupn around hearing the voice of a girl. She was very pretty, probably around his year too, if not one younger. He decided she must be from Beauxbaons because of he accent. "Oh, hey." Scott said releived she wasn't a professor. His pin stripe p.j.'s still dragging around on the floor; kind of a bumber, they might tear at the bottom, Scott though, making an effort not to step on them. He wiggled his toes around in his socks. It was much colder down here then on the main floors. It's not like he was afraid of the dark or anything, but, he really didn't care much for the dungeons. "What are you going down here?" He asked. He wasn't trying to be rude or anything, he was just curious. Plus, anything to keep the conversation going with this babe gorgeous girl. [[ ]]

Giving a smile as he turned around, she put her extra hand in her pocket and looked at him some. "What am I doing 'ere?" Eleanor repeated. "Zat is a good question. I mostly just followed where my feet took me. And zey led me 'ere." Taking her free hand out of her pocket, she motioned around the hallway. Putting her hand down by her side, she gave a small shrug. "I 'ad slept most of zee day, and only woke up a little while ago. And I couldn't go back to sleep."
Looking around the hall for a moment, she then turned her attention back to the boy and smiled. "And what brings you down 'ere so late?" She asked, switching the hand in which she was holding her wand. Her other hand was starting to loose feeling, and that was generally a bad sign. Mostly because blood circulation was a good thing. Loosing limbs was not on Eleanor's To-Do list each day.
Brushing a few strands of hair behind her ear, she gave the boy yet another smile. "Why are you down 'ere? Are you 'aving a secret rendezvous wiz someone?" Giving a small laugh, she winked at him. "Or were you just an innocent wanderer I 'appened to stumble on?" Leaning in conspiratorially she said, "At least I wasn't a professor, no?"

HE said giving a shrug of his shoulders. "And the fact that I came down to admire the artwork." Scott laughed as he tapped his wand on a painting of a rather large fat woman snoring as loud as a lawnmower. "Well, mabey not." He said laughing again. He tapped the picture lightly but the woman was so deep in her sleep she didn't wake. Well, either that or she couldn't hear the tap over her own snoring. Scott leaned up against the wall to his right and slid down it. Siting now, he looked up at the girl. "And yes, that god you wern't a professor. Nearly gave me a heart attack." Scott dragged his wand through the crack in between the stones on the floor. He looked back up at her. "By the way," He began slowly. "My name is Scott. I'm 16 from Durmstrang."[/ul]

"Ah yes, zee artwork." Nodding some, she pretended to look completely interested in it as the boy sat down on the ground. Poking the picture some, she gave noises that made it sound like she was really inspecting the picture. When, in actuality she was giving a small yawn and trying not to go deaf from the snoring. As she finally couldn't stand the sound she turned around and covered her ears. "Okay, zee snoring 'as got to go." Giving a small laugh, she looked at the boy who was seated on the ground now.
"I was trying not to give you a 'eart attack. 'Onest. It would 'ave been worse if it was a teacher who gave you a 'eart attack. Zen you would 'ave detention and be dead." Putting her hands on her hips for a moment she said, "And where would zat leave me? Wandering alone in a dark 'allway, wiz no reprieve."
Walking over to the wall, she sat down gracefully ...and spoiled it with hitting her head on the wall. "Ouch." Looking at the wall, she pointed at it with her lit wand. "I'm watching you." Turning back to the boy she heard him say his name. "'Allo Scott from Durmstrang who is sixteen. I am Eleanor, I am sixteen as well, but I come from Beauxbaton." Fiddling with her wand some, she smiled at Scott.

. Could you blame her? It's sounded like an Ostrich was gargling with oatmeal. Scott laughed. He gave a slight yawn and rubbed his right eye. "Ah, yes." Scott said thoughtfuly. "I guess a heart attack would be a bad thing." HE winked at her with a smile. "And you wouldn't be alone in the dark; you have the snoring lady." Scott pointed hi lit wand at the picture again but still, she would not wake. HE couldn't hep but laugh a bit after she had hit her head off of the wall. "Be careful." Scott said quickly. "That wall just came out of no where." Scott put his head in his hands, laughing. He put out his right hand to shake hers. "Nice to meet yeah.""What about the TriWizard tournament?" Scott said very in specific. "Do you think you'll be entering?" Scott wasn't sure if he was going to enter yet. Mabey yes, and mabey no. He wasn't afraid, but he just wasn't that good in figuring things out, how would he get from one task to the next wsithout being able to solve the hints or riddles?[/ul]

Looking at the lady as he pointed, she nodded some with an apologetic look to the picture. "I am sorry, Madame. I didn't not mean to forget you." Eleanor said, to the picture. And yet ...the lady continued to snore. In fact for a moment she got louder, and then went back to the same snore that sounded as if a tidal wave was coming ...or Godzilla. And which was worse, Godzilla or a tidal wave?
Laughing slightly she nodded. "Came out of nowhere, I agree. I zink it was probably trying to sneak up on you. Lucky I came along, no?" Putting her elbows on her knees and her head in her hands she said, "What would you 'ave done wizout me?" Eleanor gave a small innocent face and tried not to laugh. "Zough I zink my 'ead doesn't like to be smashed into buildings."
Taking his right hand in hers, she gave it a light shake and smiled. "Nice to meet you as well." Eleanor said, as she pulled her hand back so it could hold her wand once more. "Zee TriWizard Tournament? Yes, I am entering. In fact, I did so before I went to bed zis afternoon." Smiling she looked at Scott. "Are you going to be entering also? I 'ave a friend who decided against it. And I don't mind when people do not want to enter, just so you know."
Her friend Amelie had decided a mere hour before the opening of the goblet to accept names. Of course, she wouldn't have let Eleanor change her mind ...even if Eleanor had wanted to. Instead, a group of her friends cheered her into putting her name in when she had dropped it in. Smiling some she then looked back to the boy. "Isn't it interesting 'ow zee goblet works?"

. He thought to himself. When in reality he was about to fall asleep. He forced open his eyes and couldn't see or a moment or two before the light faded in. Scott put his right hand behind his head and flattend his brown hair. He pulled his hod over his head and leaned more comfortably against the wall. His eyes widend when she had said TriWizard. "Well, mabey." Scott said unsure of himself. "Depends. I'm not one hundered precent sure on my decision yet." Scott gave a slight yawn that trailed off at the end of his sentance. He realy wasn't sure weather to enter or not. He wanted to but at the same time he didn't. "Yeah, it really is." Scott didn't know much about how it all worked, but he thought it was pretty cool. "I wonder how the Goblet chooses; by random?" He knew that wasn't it, why would it just choose by random? But if that wasn't it, how did it pick those three names? [[done ]][/ul]

Seeing that Scott seemed incredibly tired, she gave a small smile. "Well, whatever your decision iz, I support it. People should not be forced to do somezing zey do not want to do, juzt because of peer pressure." Giving a small sigh, she looked around the blank hall and listened to Scott talking about how he wondered how the Goblet worked. Nodding some, she looked back at him. It was an interesting thing how the Goblet chose people ...or didn't choose people.
"I 'ave an idea. A few, zough only one am I seriouz about." Putting her legs out in front of her, she pulled on her plaid pants some and then looked back at Scott. "You see, I zink that it iz a know-all type of object. It knows all the wizards in the world, and what zey are capable of. And if zat iz so, zen it can juzt pick zee people who are worzy of competing." Then she giggled some, "Or it iz completely random, and we, being wizards and witches, completely adore it because we zink it knows everything."
Smiling slightly to herself, she then looked to her slippers and pushed them on more. Surprisingly, she was still hardly tired at all. Brushing some of the free strands of hair behind her ear, she looked back at Scott. "'Ave you always gone to Durmstrang for magical school? Or did you go to a school before?"

He had thought about all of the risk involved but he decided that eternal glory; well, that was worth it. Plus the trophy and the money. Not to mention the fame that will come along with it all. Litsening closely to her thoughts, Scott agreed. More with the first one then the sencond one. "I'd say that's a pretty good idea." But how could they know if it was right? Mabey asking the Headmaster, but still, a perfectly correct answer was next to impossible. "Yeah." Scott said blandly. "Yeah, I've always gone to Durmstrang." Scott could no longer feel the cold on his toes. Well, he could no longer feel his toes at all. "But, my family spent a while in the United States until I was ten until me parents decided that a move would be a good thing. Back then, I still didn't even know all of this existed. The week after we moved, I got my letter." Scott said it with a smile and ended it with a proud look on his face. "What about you?"[/ul]

"Ooo! Wonderful! I juzt 'ope we boz don't get picked to be champions. Zat would be most distrezing." Eleanor said, smiling. It would be one thing to beat a friend to becoming champion, but to have to fight a friend to win in all ...that would just be horrible. Completely and utterly depressing to have to fight a friend and someone is obviously going to get hurt while doing it, physically or emotionally. Nothing like that is good.
Thinking for a minute she nodded. "Per'aps we could get permission from zee 'Ead Master to examine zee Goblet ...actually, we'd probably 'ave to go 'igher zan zat. Like zee Minister of Magic." She said, thinking hard. Eleanor loved to check things out and study them, but it was hard to ever get to study things. Beauxbaton Academy let their students look at important things they had, but never enough to satisfy Eleanor's curiosity. And curiosity was always a danger.
"I 'adn't even left France until I came 'ere. I've always gone to Beauxbaton. Forever. Zee people and zee school eetself gets boring after a while." Seeing Scott was only wearing socks, she looked up at him and tilted her head to the side slightly. "Are your feet cold?" Eleanor's slippers were a few sizes too big, and she was ready to offer one to Scott if he needed it. "Why aren't you wearing any slippers seelly?" Giggling some, she pulled her knees to her chest.

Scott laughed slightly at his remark. Scott though about it. As much as he would have liked for the approval of getting a closer look at it, he doubted it at all possible. I mean, who would let two possible TriWizard Champions look that close to the Goblet before the selection? They'd probably be accused of tabpering with it. Or, something like that. "As much as I'd like to, I doubt it." Scott scrunched up his nose. Scott nodded after hearing that she had lived in France for her whole life. He had assumed that because of her accent. He looked down to his feet and took them in his hands. He looked back up and gave Eleanor a boyish smile. "Forgot 'em.. I guess." Scott did have slippers but not with him. He didn't bother to put them on after he had woke.[/ul]

Laughing at the suicide comment she nodded. "I 'ave 'eard zat as well, I guess I juzt choose to ignore zat. I am ready to pull myself out eet I find somezing I cannot finish." Eleanor said, giving a smile. Nodding a bit more she continued, "I do een fact like my life and don't want to lose eet." She was also confident in her magic and learning. But that was besides the point. If she had to, she would pull herself out, she was more useful alive than dead, and so far as she knew, there were few people who actually wanted her dead.
"Yes ...I guess asking zat after putting a name een would look razer bad to zee people. Studentz and professorz." Giving a small shrug she then added, "Can't 'urt to ask after zee Tournament zough, no?" Grinning some, she put her hands on her knees and sighed slightly. The Goblet was so unusual and she really wanted to know how it worked. Perhaps she could go through the Ministry of Magic....
Making a small fake gasp she said, "Forgot your sleepers? Oh my you're going to die!" Giggling some, she took off her left slipper and offered it to him, while she slipped her left foot into her right slipper. "Zey are a few sizes too large on me, but I will want it back." Smiling, she waited to see if he would take the slipper or not. "Won't do to 'ave you losing your feet to frostbite."
