Shoving her hands into a pair of pockets, the aggravated girl looked around the Social Room. It seemed ironic to her that the one room where students were supposed to be most social, and there was supposed to be a huge crowd of students having fun ...was so empty. Turning her head to look at one of the windows on the wall, she kept in mind that the window sill was large enough for one if not two people to sit on. Cheska then turned her attention to another thing in the room. A Wizard Chess game was set up, not started, just sitting, ready to be played. Letting out a small laugh, she moved the first piece and left the game where it was.
Fiddling with her lip ring, she looked around the rest of the room. There were multiple couches, and chairs and a large fireplace. It would seem that in the winter it would be a splendid place for students to hang out, keep warm, and have fun. But at the moment, it was deserted ...perhaps that was because it was supper time. Cheska had wandered down plenty early to the Great Hall and had a meal while everyone else was busy hanging out, she had also grabbed some food and shoved it in her pockets for later. That may have been why the room was so empty. Everyone was now down in the Great Hall eating.
Shuffling her feet along the floor, because she didn't feel like picking them up at the moment, she made her way to the large window. Giving a brief smile, she sat down on the window, one leg hanging over the side into the room, and the other propping Cheska up. The sun was seeming to get ready to set, though she didn't think it actually would for quite some time. Sighing some, she poked the glass of the window and tried to see if she could open it.

Now, hasn’t the school year started? Of course, what were more fun then exploring empty halls while everyone was out eating? To Astrum it seemed the best time to get reacquainted with Hogwarts before too long. Her friends were busy swallowing down food, and as a result, her own stomach growled at the thought of all the food down in the Great Hall. Ah, she could wait till later. Letting her hands run against the cool plated walls, Astrum paused for a second, gazing straight ward, her eyes closing, letting the familiar smell and feel of the school pass by her.
Once again she resumed her walk, chuckling to herself what her friend would say once they realized she wasn’t there. Starving herself? No, simply out exploring without them. Astrum wasn’t an attention hog, she did have an independent side too. It was a while before the blonde haired girl realized where she was, and curiously glanced around the 5th floor. Well, there wasn’t anything interesting here. Astrum shook her head and climbed up the rest of the steps.
As she did, leaning against the railing, her hair falling against her face as the girl glanced downward. She would have left now if it wasn’t for a noise, though at first she thought it was a mouse. Hair dangled off the edge of the railing as Astrum walked by it, cautiously inspecting every room until she came to the social one. It was then when she stopped, ”Probably some love-sick people, making out, eh?” Well, if she was one to respect others privacy, or to let things stay like that, Astrum would have not walked in. She did.
Instead of two people in lip-lock, Astrum came across the most strangest looking girl, and just stared there, eyeing the other warily. ”Um, hello?”

Feeling around the bottom edge of the window, continuously looking out over the yard bellow, she finally found the latch that was there to unlock the window. Grinning some, she flipped it and then started to push the window open. Lifting it up, she stopped the window above her head and then leaned over the edge of the window some. It was quite a far drop, though she didn't mind heights as much as she minded other things. For one thing, she was rather frightened of crowds.
Giving a small sigh, she suddenly heard someone behind her. Jumping some, she quickly turned around and saw that it was a girl, just looking at here. Turning around some, she looked at the girl, trying to size her up without saying anything yet. I'll have to say something. It wouldn't be very polite to not say anything. She thought, and kept her mouth closed for quite a while longer.
After a while she said curtly, "Hello." Cheska wasn't trying to be rude, she just wasn't sure if the girl was going to attack her or just say hello. To a stranger, or anyone she had just met, she wasn't about to open up and tell all her darkest secrets. Or even the small slightly dark ones. "And how are you?" She asked, still looking at the girl with a terribly weary eye.
Moving her leg so they were both over the edge of the window sill, she looked at the girl, very intently. If she was going to speak to the girl, she was going to pay attention. It was better than the other things her mind could possibly wander off too.

Astrum felt terribly uncomfortable just standing there, wishing to walk up to the window and ask what on earth the other girl was doing. Of course, there were always the dangers of attack, anyone lounging here themselves couldn’t be completely safe now. Shoving her hands into her pockets, relaxing slightly as she fingered her wand, letting its cool surface calm her. Still not tearing her glance from the other, Astrum moved to a chair, wishing to sit, but to do so would be impolite, as well as many other things.
As the other said Hello, Astrum dared herself to smile pleasantly, nodding, ”Hello.” She echoed once again, a hint of amusement in her voice, ”Wha-“ She stopped in her tracks, hearing the other begin first. ”Quite fine.” She muttered, looking around, it seemed less frightening now that the girl had spoken. There was a hint of amusement as she spoke next, chuckling, ”How about you then? We sound so formal here.” Eyes glittered, and her fingers tightened over her wand.
Astrum nodded once again, for no reason whatsoever, walking up to another window next to the one the girl was planning to jump out of, looking out. ”So, where you really going to jump out?” She questioned, glancing up.
((Bleh, this one sucks. Xx. Don’t worry, the next one will be better.))

Nodding some as she heard the girl say "Quite fine," she kicked her legs some. Though she looked completely rough and hard, she was quite nice after a while. "Yes, you could definitely say that we're acting formal." Giving a small chuckle, she looked out the window. "I'm fine. A little on edge, but fine." Pausing for a moment she said, "No pun intended." Motioning to the window sill, she gave a small laugh. I'm even saying puns.
Watching the girl for a moment, Cheska then looked out of the window. Hearing the girl say something about jumping out, she gave a small loud laugh. "Oh, yeah. I was really going to jump out." Her sarcasm was quite apparent, even through her Russian accent. "No, though there are some days that I would have loved to do that, there's no way I would be able to. I have family and all that stuff." She said, shaking her head some. "Though I do love-" Stopping short, she looked out the window. No, that may be too much information for a simple question.
Giving a tiny laugh, she leaned away from the window to look at the girl. "Did you come here for any certain reason?" Cheska asked, trying to enunciate as clearly as she could. There had been a slight breeze and her Russian accent wouldn't help the matter. "Or were you just wandering?"
Putting a hand into her pocket, she grabbed some of the food she had snagged from the Great Hall and put some of it in her mouth. Her other hand went into one of her pockets. This pocket held her wand. Though she seemed completely at ease, she was far from it.

Staring out the window was not fun. So it was a relief to Astrum when the other started talking. ”Heh. And I thought only adults did that.” There was slight amusement in her tone, and her features looked at ease as she leaned against the window, her hands holding the edge of it. Yet she laughed at the next words, ”A little on edge? Eh? I didn’t notice.” It was to be considered as a joke, a weak one though, guarded even, but nevertheless she was trying to lighten up the tension. ”So you say.” Astrum muttered, chuckling.
”Well you never know. People here, thinking they’d grow wings if they jump out. Sorry to say, it doesn’t seem to work that way.” She held a friendly smile upon her face, yet Astrum stood on the tips of her legs, pressing against the wall with her hands, as she leaped with ease upon the window-still. Lifting her legs up, her hands went around them, until Astrum’s head was able to rest against her knees. ”All that stuff,” She echoed, before adding, ”I’m more scared of the pain then the ‘jumping out’ part.” The Blonde haired girl replied, nodding softly, turning her face to the window, eyes tracing the view below.
Hearing the pause in the other’s voice, Astrum glanced up, curiosity stricking, ”May I ask what you were going to say?” She was formal again, trying not to sound rude, but she wouldn’t drop it. Her eyes glittered once again, before chuckling, ”I’m sorry! I never asked your name!” Astrum exclaimed, laughing softly, ”I’m Astrum by the way.”
Once again, the other got the last word, and she shrugged, her glance averting back to the window. ”Wandering I suppose. I always do that every year, though this is only my third.” Astrum chuckled again, eyes widening at the food that seemed to magically appear out of no where, her stomach growled once again, as if trying to remind her of her hunger. ”Did you conquer that or simply take some out?” She questioned, trying not to look longingly at the food.

"Yes, many people don't believe in what can actually happen and what they think will happen." To Cheska that was as annoying as anything else ever was. People who pretended things, and all those other sorts of people who acted one way and thought another. It was beyond belief what some of these people brought up. Shaking her head, she looked to the girl.
"Oh, yeah, sorry I haven't said my name." Cheska looked around some. "I'm Cheska, nice to meet you." She said looking to the girl and giving her a nod of the head, along with a small soft smile. It wasn't often that she gave a smile, or a soft smile at least, so she was a serious it was nice to meet her. That didn't mean any secrets were going to be given up easily on her part.
Looking out the window again, she grinned. "Wandering is always a fun past time, better than others at least. Like talking to brats." Rolling her eyes some, she took another bite of her food and then looked to the girl. "I would like to say I conquered it, but the truth is I simply took it." Pausing some, she looked at the food and then at the girl.
"Do you want some? I don't need all of it. I had a full meal before everyone went down for food." Getting off the window sill, she took a step towards the girl with some food outstretched. Her nails were polished in red, and the polish was chipping some, but the food was still warm.
{{Sorry it's so crappy. >.<}}

Chuckling, her eyes turned to the window, trying to ignore the waft of smell that teased her taste buds. She was so hungry! Astrum nodded in agreement; sighing, ”True. It’s sad. Sometimes being themselves is the easiest way to get what they want. Eh?” Her fingers traced the early frost on the window glass, eyes glittering. The girl was silent for a while, her hunger getting the best of her, making her quiet.
”Cheska?” Astrum echoed, mouthing out the word, ”Cheska.” She repeated, chuckling, ”I like it! It has a sort of ‘ring’ to it!” The girl exclaimed, eyeing the other, ”Well, I’m pleased to meet you too!” Astrum said, grinning. She was usually an enthusiastic girl, if not too much. Her gaze spread over the room once again, ”Strange to see it empty eh? The room’s simply supposed to be full.” She commented, nodding-partly to herself.
”It is. I hate being bored, so usually I’d just get up and explore.” Astrum replied, swinging her legs off the windowsill. It’s not that she was high up, just trying to look carefree and relaxed. At the next sentence, her head spun to face Cheska, her eyes widening, and in a mock-offended tone she asked, ”Who ya calling a brat?” There was defiantly amusement to it. They haven’t said enough to consider what the other was, but she nodded, ”Many here in Hogwarts?” The girl asked.
Astrum chuckled, ”Well, if you have, I would have been considered blind for not seeing it happen!” She exclaimed, smiling. Of course, she wished there was no more talk of food, her mouth was watering. To tell the truth, it was an amazement she was drooling by now. ”Are you kidding!” Astrum jumped off her seat, moving around in impatience like an eager toddler. ”I haven’t eaten since last night!” The girl exclaimed. As the food was handed out to her, Astrum eagerly took her, eyes shining as she jumped around for a while, laughing softly. ”Yay!” She said, chewing on a piece of Pumpkin bread as she sat down on the Windowsill once again, her legs pressing up against her chest, putting the small handful of food to balance on her knees. Astrum glanced up and smiled, ”Thanks!”
